Nicky van de Beek is a PhD researcher at Mainz University. She studies images of landscapes in ancient Egyptian private tombs using iconographic, semantic and network analysis, challenging the way we view ancient climate change.
Previously she completed a BA and Research MA in Egyptology, a BA in Archaeology and a minor in Digital Humanities at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
She has worked for several nationally and EU-funded projects as a project manager, research assistant and developer.
